What we do.
Life today for children has never been more challenging. Now more than ever we need strong communities to help families raise their children to be men and women of courage, honor and commitment. We use youth tackle football and cheer to teach those values. Supporting this program is a tangible way for you to make a difference.
What we've done.
We have over 70 children from south Siskiyou County, ages 6-14, signed up to play football or cheer this Fall, 2024!
A group of parents and community members got together in May of 2023 to begin planning for a cheer and football program for youth in the Fall of 2024. After more than a year of planning and advertising, the time is finally here! Our Cheerleading team and four football teams began practicing in mid-July and are so excited for the season! How funds will be used.
It Costs approximately $550 and $275 per member fore football and cheer respectively to start a new program from the ground up.
 | We asked our participating families to pay $250 and $150 for this, our first year. We don't want any child to miss out on this opportunity because they cannot afford it financially. Our fees cover approximately 40% of the actual cost to start the program. Therefore we need to raise about $26,000. We hope that your contributions to this fundraiser will help raise at least $20,000 of that. The costs of the program are uniforms, helmets and pads, league fees, equipment such as balls, tees, pads other training aides, facility rentals, coaching certifications, insurance and the like.
We are in this for the long haul, but to start we need to raise a significant amount of money. Much of the costs for future seasons will be less because many items we buy this year are able to be used again in the future. Any contributions made this year will be positively affecting children for years to come. |
Our Call to Action
This is truly a community campaign. Any contribution - from the kid who gives a little part of their allowance to the grandparent who has the means to give more - is important and will be valued. Q: How much of my donation goes directly to the program?
A: All of it! Unless you decide to give a portion of it to Fundrazr.com (this amazing free platform that exists through donations from contributors).
Q: How else are you raising support?
A: Many generous Siskiyou County businesses and individuals are supporting the cause through donations and sponsorships. Much of their donation goes to help families in need of financial help to pay for fees.
Q: Is there anything else I can do to help?
A: Yes! we need volunteers at home games and administrative help. Contact us if you would like to volunteer.
