Gwendolyn Kaye "Tammy" Allison Edwards, 46, was called to be with the Lord for eternal peace on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:45 PM at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Tammy was born on September 8, 1969 to the parentage of Wilvon Allison, Sr. and Mary Jean Celestine Allison in Houston, TX.
She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Gracie Malveaux at New Birth Holiness Church. She was a native of Lake Charles, LA most of her life. She was a 1987 graduate of Iowa High School who attended Delta School of Business, graduating in 1988 and later graduated from Clark College. Tammy was employed by Lake Charles Memorial Hospital 5 Tower as a CNA from March 1996 to 2016. She also worked at Lake Charles Care Center for ten years.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary jean Allison; grandparents: Wilford and Alberta Lewis Celestine and Wallace and Agnes Simien Allison.
Tammy leaves to cherish her love and memoriestwo sons: Jimmy James Allison and Jacoby Shemar Edwards; her father; Wilvon Allison, Sr.; Fiance; Mike Nickerson; siblings; Michael (Nancy) Allison, Eric Allison, Travis (Shermika) Allison, Wilvon (Sharnia) Allison, Jr. all of Lake Charles, LA, and Germaine (Pam) Allison of Beaumont, TX; step siblings: Shawanda and Adrien Antoine of Lake Charles, LA and Amy and Angel Allison of Houston, TX; seven nieces, three nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, other family and friends.
