Vee’s Stay Strong Foundation was created in loving memory of Veronica “Vee” Rivera , who passed away from breast cancer at just 35 years old, leaving behind two children.
While Vee was battling cancer, she could no longer work, and her illness often left her too weak to enjoy many activities. Even through those challenges, she wanted to create as many experiences with her children as she possibly could. Her love for them inspired this initiative to help other mothers and children share meaningful time together.
Our first goal is to raise $2,500 to support five families ($500 per family) with children under 18 whose mothers are battling stage 3 or stage 4 breast cancer.
Through our first program, Stay Strong Memory Day , we will create a memorable night of experiences for each mother and her children. Whether sharing a favorite meal, taking family photos or enjoying a cozy movie night, each evening will be shaped around the family’s interests and Mom’s energy and abilities.
Your contribution will help cover meals, activities, keepsakes and other costs of making these evenings possible. We also welcome businesses willing to donate services or goods. Our goal is to bring these experiences to life around Vee’s birthday, November 22 , with flexibility for each family’s needs.
Vee always said, “Stay Strong.” Those words are at the heart of our mission: helping families feel supported, find moments of joy and create memories they can hold onto forever.
