Circus Radix: How to Burst an Empire
Circus Radix is a daring new contemporary circus troupe based out of occupied Duwamish land and centered on the radical idea that we are all rooted together. We maintain that feats of incredible finesse, the movement of bodies, and change in the body politic are attained through consistency and daily practices in connection. We are devoted to movements of all kinds. Founded in response to rising fascism within the United States, the acrobats, writers, and day-dreamers of Circus Radix are focused on answering the questions of our time: What do we need to survive this? What comes next when empires fall? How do we make it fun? The concept for the first production is titled "How to Burst an Empire" in response to these very questions.
Initial funds will go towards insuring performances and applying for park permits, with the goal of eventually creating free live performance in parks around Seattle in Spring/Summer 2027.
