We live in unusual times. There is an attack on anything that appears social justice or woke oriented. 

The Florida Indigenous Alliance, Inc. works for the civil, human, treaty, and sovereignty rights of the Indigenous peoples of the Western Hemisphere. To do also involves providing needed services to the Indigenous communities as well as educating the non-Indigenous communities.

Since its founding in 1990 the FIA has been largely grassroots funded and since its reformation in 2016 it has been solely and exclusively grass roots funded. Other than the $610 raised on this platform every penny of every expense has come from the FIA membership.

As costs have risen, so has the need for the FIA. right now, developers with aid from the state are seeking to destroy and desecrate burial sites in Jupiter, Miami, Pasco County and elsewhere in Florida. the State of Florida currently continues to argue that the Indian Child Welfare Act only applies on the reservations-imagine if the Supreme Court overturns ICWA.

The FIA needs your help to not only continue doing the work we have been doing, but knowing whats coming, build and expand our work.

Your donation to the FIA will help us continue to travel the state protecting Indigenous burials and sacred sites, continue working with school districts to educate regarding Native people and remove stereotypical depictions of Native people and culture. Your donations can help us open an office which will allow us to better network with Native peoples and communities around the State. Every dollar we recieve will help us build needed community service programs including legal aid, substance abuse/prevention programs and educational programs.
