Since the Covid-19 pandemic hit, SSD has been organizing in Boston to feed anyone who needs it, no questions asked. Our weekly distributions of food and essentials have served over 6,500 families since March 2020.

Not only is this pandemic still happening, in many places it’s worse than ever. The most marginalized among us, those most in need of help at times like this, are the MOST commonly missed and avoided. People experiencing homelessness, addicts, and sex workers without institutional connections deserve support and we need your help to reach them.

At our current rate, we will struggle to provide distros by March of 2021. By raising $20,000, we will be able to continue providing basic essentials for our comrades at least halfway through 2021.

• $17 donation cover’s one unhoused recipient’s no-cook bag

We are a survival program, not a charity

Mutual aid is not charity. We are a coalition of communists, anarchists and socialists who are organizing around the principle that pandemic is political. We are anti-capitalists and anti-racists organizing to help meet the basic needs of our comrades in this time of crisis, and working to build resilient structures of working class power that can continue to fight back against a system that depends on our exploitation.
