This little guy, Rosco, was surrendered to Murray County Humane Society along with his siblings and mom.  Several of his siblings had already died from heat & exhaustion prior to them being brought to us.  This little baby at 4 weeks has endured more than any one should have to in a lifetime.

Rosco was carried to Animal Hospital where they did x-rays to see how extensive the damage is to his front leg and see if there is any possible way to save it.  X-ray shows his bones in his foot are crushed & separated from his leg bone.  There's no way to splint his leg & allow treatment of the tissue at the same time.   And he is too young for amputation to even be considered at this time.  So right now we are working on the tissue.  **picture below is graphic, but shows the damage to his leg & paw

He will require constant medicated ointment to help with the removal of the dead tissue & to help regenerate new tissue & skin.  This is all very painful with his little bones broken.  His foster mom is taking the best of care of him since he can't be with his family.

After this process, we will have to see what may be the next steps in saving his leg.  We have no idea exactly how long this whole process will take, but I am sure there are many trips to the doctor for xrays in his near future.

This is where you can help.  We need donations to help cover the repeated vet visits for xrays & medications.  Is there any chance you can help?

**If we raise more than what is required for Rosco, the additional funds will be used to help another animal in need.
