Hello, have we met? I am Teddy. I have one eye, abundant arthritis and an age of nearly 12 to boast. I take pain medication twice a day, every day. Without it, I am so stiff I cannot move. I have even been falling over.
Among others, I share my arthritis meds with several ill bunnies at Helicopter Ears. Mr. Buttons is also very arthritic and gets very clumsy with his legs. Sometimes they tangle up like noodles and sometimes they get left behind when Basil tries to jump somewhere. This makes other bunnies laugh but it is not so funny for Basil. This medication also helps him with his dental abscess pain. Though he had the tooth out, the abscess is still there to fight. A little cheer for Basil please! He has a few ailments to fight off before he's a happy bunny. But I'm now just too old and Meloxicam definitely keeps me happier than I would be otherwise.
Rolo, Roy and Dominic are also on this medication as is our guard and protector the old Tango. Together, we get through about 255ml every month and that's on a good month! If there's a bunny emergency or an operation to deal with, our usage goes up.
It is very expensive to buy our medications from Bunny pharmacy and our vet has given us a prescription so that we can order it online. I am hoping to raise enough funds to order a month worth of our vital medication. If you can spare some funds towards it, would you please send me some so that we can order some soon because we are nearly out. If not, could you please share to your bunny-loving friends, groups and pages. I know that there are kind bunnies out there who will help us chronically ill bunnies who live at the Helicopter Ears Rescue.
