We are raising money for a weather station for Bridges Hill,
Paragliding and Hang Gliding takeoff site.
If you think a weather station up on Bridges is a good idea, help
us get to the goal. If not, you keep your $.
Bridge's Hill is a South East site with a lot of potential and a committing launch.. It's an hour or so to walk to the top, and a weather station could save pilots from a walk only to discover the conditions are unsuitable for takeoff. Bridges has the potential for very good XC flights with better land out options after going over the back compared to Moir's. The weather station would allow pilots to know if the Westerly sea breeze is coming in to the takeoff site, which means it becomes flyable when the general forecast is for an Easterly flow.
The AHGPC is willing to contribute to this, and cover the running
costs, if we get to the goal from the pilots that are keen to have a
weather station.
If we don't get to the goal, you will get your money back!
You can pay by paypal and choose how much you are willing to put up, even small amounts are great.. Please note that fundrazr.com suggests a donation to them as well, as this is how they make money. You can choose how much you give them and don't have to use the default.
You may also contribute by Internet banking directly to the AHGPC if you wish. Bank details will be provided on request (what's app, email, sms, etc), as we have to manually process and mark it as a contribution, but maybe worth doing for donations over $200 if someone wants to make a large donation towards the weather station.

The costs involved will be:
- Buying a weather station and sim card
- Getting a suitable mast/poll to put it on
- Paying for the ongoing running costs, repairs, etc.
Effort by either the committee or others is likely for:
- Getting the mast put up and the weather station on it
- Configuring it's web interface / app, etc
- Arranging with land owners, etc
