"We Are the Solution or the Problem!" Black entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses are facing an alarming rate of shut-out from many mainstream or highly publicized funding resources. Unfortunately for reasons unexplained, urban black businesses are rejected by banks at alarming rates compared to peers of other races or ethnicities. This form of implicit bias, racism is not a myth and is a proven reality. The pandemic sent many businesses towards permanent closings, severe shortages and looming debt.
Education, Training, and Cash! While prayer,
kindness and empathy is our foundation, it's not enough to build and
sustain a business. We provide business owners with necessary critical
tools to be great leaders and excellent CEOs. On the other hand, bias
and discrimination are not the sole problem of grassroots and small
businesses. Our data shows us they are often unorganized. Many lack
proper administrative filings, tax records, proper banking, financial
acumen, and accountability.

We measure our success by the success of our recipients. Grant Recipients: Stephanie was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. While she was receiving medical care, we paid an overdue home utility. Obioma lost her anchor contract during the pandemic. We awarded her a micro grant of $50 (Fifty). Months later, Obioma reciprocated by donating $500 (Five Hundred) back into the organization. John did not have any work. We purchased his marketing services and paid for groceries. Through our grant rendered coaching program, A woman-owned solo-entrepreneur received a $126,000 business loan. Felicia launched her digital talk show which served as a platform for new income and marketing outreach. A husband and wife pastoring a church also owned a transportation company at the dawn of the March 2020 world crisis. The couple lost all income and immediately went into debt due to payroll and other overhead. The wife became severely ill. We paid the delinquent debt to bring their mortgage payments current. A well-known musician from the Philadelphia, PA area received a $500 unrestricted grant after experiencing the death of his mentor. His anchor contracts were church services. All local churches within his paid network were closed. No work, no contracts, no income. These are just a few of the hundreds of businesses owners we serve.
