Friends of the Arts in Brighton hasn't added a story.
Three exceptional Brighton Music teachers have recently retired: Laura Baldwin, Beth Remming, and Cheryl Guth. Together they gave 65 years of instruction, inspiration, and guidance to literally thousands of Brighton students. How can we thank them?
Show your appreciation for one or more of these teachers by making a donation to their Legacy Project, sponsored by Friends of the Arts in Brighton (FAB). The money raised will be gifted back to the district to fund special experiences for students.
See some details below about each teacher’s history in Brighton, and the history of the Legacy Project. Thank you for helping continue the legacy of retiring Brighton arts teachers!
~~~~~
Laura Baldwin was with the district nearly 20 years
as a vocal music teacher and choral director.
Beth Remming has retired after 16 years in Brighton
serving as a strings teacher and orchestra director at FRES.
Cheryl Guth devoted 29 years to Brighton as a strings instructor and orchestra director at both FRES and BHS.
FAB's first Legacy Project was put in place for Bill Baldwin, band teacher at TCMS. In October 2017, his fund made it possible for the modern chamber quintet fivebyfive to perform at TCMS and hold a special clinic for students.
