On December 16th, members from the Vancouver startup community will be canvassing Vancouver to pick up non-perishable food items collected by a wide variety of the city's companies. All donations will be delivered to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. GVFBS will ensure that the donations reach the right folks this holiday season.
We know that some of our friends who are interested in helping out are not located in Vancouver or are unable to collect physical donations for whatever reason, and so we have started this online donation campaign to collect financial contributions. And because of their scale the GVFB is able to purchase 3 dollars of food for every dollar donated which makes it the best way to help. 100% of the donations received by the Startups Care initiative will go directly to the GVFBS and we will provide tax receipts for every donation over $20. This is really a great way to help out.
