Angela Mikus of Angie's Restaurant, knew that she wanted to give back to the community that had supported through many hardships. Her first year in business, Angie offered a free Thanksgiving Day meal to anyone who walk through her door. After serving about 100 meals, she felt that she wasn't doing enough. Angie's Community Outreach was created. 

13 years later, Angie’s Community Outreach has partnered with many local organizations including schools, Meals On Wheels, Laurel Health, Oak City Outreach, Church in the Woods and the Women’s Center of Wake County to reach nearly 4,000 people in need of a meal. 

Although, we provide free meals throughout the year, Thanksgiving continues to be our greatest need of support. With need and costs rising, we are asking for donations to ensure we can provide the anticipated 4,500 meals needed for this Thanksgiving.

Your donation will ensure that every student, elderly, homeless and first responder that requests a meal will be provided with one.
