Hello - Boozhoo,

On behalf of the staff team at Keewaytinook Internet High school, I would like to invite you to join us in remembering Aaron Hardy.

Aaron Hardy was the KiHS ICT Administrator for over 15 years.  He was a beloved member of our community – mentor, father-figure, and friend to students and staff alike.  Aaron also spent time working for Walmart, Wasaya, and Fort William First Nation throughout his career.  Aaron suffered a heart attack before the Christmas break.  His sudden death has been felt deeply by KiHS.

In an effort to remember his compassion and endless attitude of giving, KiHS is sponsoring the Aaron Hardy Memorial Award.  The award will be for a KiHS student from one of our 13 partner Communities.  Rather than being awarded on the basis of  academic achievement, the award will be presented to a student who exemplifies the same loving, generous spirit as Aaron embodied.

We will be fundraising until Monday, May20th.  Keewaytinook Okimakanak Board of Education has generously agreed to match the total amount raised.  We will consider the total funds and hope to divide them so the award can be sustained for  5-10 years with 1 yearly winner being awarded a set amount every May.  The winner will receive the financial award and have their name engraved on a plaque.

Note - a 'community tip' will automatically come up on your subtotal (4.00).  This is a platform donation to Fundrazr.  If you do not wish to donate click 'change tip amount' and then 'not this time' to remove the charge.

Please consider helping us remember Aaron by supporting the Aaron Hardy Memorial Award for current and future KiHS students.

Thank you - Meegwetch,

Angela Batsford-Mermans

KiHS Principal
