A group of us--Athenian students and faculty--will be traveling to South Africa for a March Term course . Part of our travels include a week in South Africa's Kabokweni Township, where we'll partner with several community organizations. We’ll work with students at the Entokozweni Primary School, feed 65 children at the  Phaphamani Home Based Care, build a garden at Moses Yfungo Orphanage, and purchase much-needed food supplies for families in the region.

We are holding the From California to Kabokweni walk to raise money to support our community partners in South Africa. The walk will be on Mount Diablo on March 4, 2023. One hundred percent of the funds raised will go to our community partners in Kabokweni, either through supplies purchased for them or as a cash donation.
