Worldwide, large parts of coral reefs are affected and destroyed by natural disasters, illegal fishing, erosion, dynamite fishing, plastic and also divers. Just like here in the Philippines.
Years ago we discovered that corals are dying and our reefs are getting smaller. Our house reef too. These reefs are no longer able to do feed to fish and other creatures.

That is why in July 2012 Dive Society Philippines has started our “Reef Conservation Project” on our house reef the “Luca Sanctuary”. We sunk hundreds of concrete and steel elements. Later we came up with the “Reef Villages”. A very big structure to create a place that offers protection and a “safe home” to marine life. Our “Reef Villages” are planned and done in a way that divers can look inside but not access themselves. A safe place for sea creatures.
Now we ask you to sponsor our project so we can go on and build up a lot of reefs.
Nature is very strong. Every single donation you do will have a big impact and create new habitats on a coral reef.
