2017 High $5 (or more) for Special Olympics!

Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Our athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment -- on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential. Here are just 5 areas of focus of the Special Olympics organization.

• Changing Attitudes – Special Olympics is the leading voice in raising awareness about the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities.
• Real Sports – Sports is a powerful force. It can shift the focus from disability to ability, from isolation to involvement.
• Building Communities – Special Olympics works to spread compassion and acceptance in a way that can unite the world. Our goal is to awaken everyone -- and every community -- to each person’s common humanity.
• Healthier Athletes – Special Olympics is also the world's largest public health organization for people with intellectual disabilities.
• Athlete Leadership – Through sports training and competitions, Special Olympics helps people with intellectual disabilities achieve joy, acceptance and success. Our Athlete Leadership Programs can take athletes even farther -- as leaders and spokespeople respected in their communities.

To support the Greater Dayton chapter of the Special Olympics, we are challenging all Taylor Communications employees, friends and families to give a High $5 (or more) to help these gifted athletes. All donations made online will be emailed a donation receipt.

Beyond your support, we are asking that employees promote this online fund drive with family and friends to help raise awareness for Special Olympics and allow us to surpass our goal of raising $16,892!
