Summertime is raising $15,000 over the month of December to grow our inclusive art oasis. Join us in our mission to bring more celebration, more beauty, more togetherness, and more love to New York City and beyond.
Since 2019, Summertime has offered a meeting place for passionate artists with and without disabilities to express themselves, form relationships, and live their creative dreams. In the words of artist Lauren McArthur, Summertime “welcomes everyone and celebrates their ideas and celebrates them for who they are and what they love.”
It’s our greatest joy to, as Lauren put it, provide “people the space to love what they love and share that love with other people.” This year, we’ve done just that by hosting live “toe drawing” sessions, a spiritual ritual honoring the Egyptian gods, a pet portrait workshop at The Met Cloisters, a soft circus complete with a cotton candy machine, a surreal ceramic dinner party featuring apple cores and eyeballs, and so much more.
Your generosity will transform the lives of artists, one colored pencil and cheese puff at a time. We are in awe of our community who have made Summertime what it is today and are excited to continue to expand beyond our wildest dreams.
