OUR OPPORTUNITY
Positive Fields is working with Hogansville Elementary School to build its first 3D Printer Farm! We have a chance to build a system that will allow students to learn and create in a whole new way. Every day our students get excited when they realize they can take something from their imagination and make it real. Now we want to share that learning experience with the students and staff of Hogansville Elementary!
Here's an example of how 3D printing can captivate and challenge young minds. One of our students has taken his concept drawing of a car, modeled it in a 3D design program, and now it has come to life as a functional 3D printed piece!

with a 3D Printer Farm! The farm will be a resource that we
share with the students and staff of Hogansville Elementary, and
together with members of Positive Fields we’ll all learn about and
experience this exciting new technology. With your help we will
build this array of 3 amazing 3D printers!
The 3D Printer Farm will be installed at Positive Fields, just a few blocks away from Hogansville Elementary School. Positive Fields will take care of maintenance and upkeep of the farm, while students and teachers can log in any time to start print jobs and monitor their progress. This makes it very easy for students and teachers to get access to the technology, and quickly incorporate it into their curriculum.
OUR VISION
We envision that the 3D Printer Farm will be used to help us teach the fundamentals of design, robotics, and electronics, as well as help us create all sorts of projects and products. Hogansville Elementary will be able to access the farm for S.T.E.A.M. related classwork, while here at Positive Fields we will use the farm to print member’s projects.
3D printing is a fundamental part of 21st century education- and a huge part of our teaching CAD, 3D modeling, design, and creative engineering. 3D printers are the tools that allow us to turn creative ideas into a reality.
The printers we will make are called HyperCubes. They are an advanced (fully open source) design, and they feature state-of-the-art safety and connectivity features.
Students and staff of Hogansville Elementary will work with Positive Fields and our friend Bill Lake to actually build these incredible machines. Bill is a Hogansville resident. He has been making HyperCubes for a long time (right here in Hogansville!), and he is going to teach us all how to make these incredible 3D printers. This will give us all a much deeper understanding of the how the machines work, and what they are capable of doing!

We need your help to get this project up and running! Please make a charitable contribution today. You can give as low as $10, or as high as $1,000 based on your capacity to give. All donors will receive a charitable receipt. Every dollar raised has been earmarked for a special purpose in this project. With your help every dollar raised brings us one step closer to our goal, and will help us continue to bring art and technology educational opportunities to our community.

Everyone that donates $50.00 or more will receive a beautiful 3D printed "low poly" planter.

planters will be printed right here on our 3D Printer Farm!
STRETCH GOAL
For every additional $1,000.00 we can add an additional HyperCube to our 3D Printer Farm! This will cover the entire cost of equipment, parts, assembly, and programming for each additional machine.
WHO WE ARE
Positive Fields is a Hogansville, GA based nonprofit arts and technology education center. We are a registered 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to create opportunities in arts and technology education in our community. Hogansville Elementary hosts students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Their mission is to bring dreams to life for every student through motivation, encouragement, and hard work. Bill Lake is a veteran and a resident of Hogansville, GA. He is an innovator and maker of 3D printers!
Wishes
$10 will support the equivalent of A Raspberry Pi Camera, which we will use to remotely monitor our 3D prints, and create beautiful time lapse videos.
$20 will support the equivalent of 1 Kilogram spool of PLA filament. PLA is a corn based plastic which naturally biodegrades.
$50 will support the equivalent of 4 dry boxes, which keeps our PLA filament safe from exposure to humidity.
$100 will support the equivalent of a Raspberry Pi 4. This amazing, open source single board computer runs the software that controls our 3D printers.
$250 will support the equivalent of a Husky Shelf for our 3D printer farm. We need a solid, sturdy, and safe space to house our farm!
A $1000 donation earns you a permanent place here at Positive Fields! Your donation supports the equivalent of ⅓ of our total project! We’ll design and 3D print a commemorative plaque that proudly proclaims your awesomeness for all to see.
