Peace Stars is the official project of 101 Education Institute Corporation, a 501(C)(3) charitable organization incorporated in the State of Maryland, USA.
Imagine a world where music heals wounds that words cannot.
Peace Stars is a global movement that empowers musicians from opposite sides of conflict to come together - not to debate, but to create. Together they write and perform a shared song, that we then share locally and globally to tell the story of conflict and amplify voices of peace, bridge historic divides, and remind the world that harmony is always possible.
Peace Stars is ready to begin filming its first collaboration, a powerful musical performance created by artists who believe in unity, healing, and hope.
And we’re launching in Ghana, where we have the partners, the support, and the pathway to start production immediately once funded.
Your contribution today brings the first Peace Stars project to life and helps ignite a global movement where music becomes a bridge across divides.
Why Start in Ghana?
After months of planning, partnership-building, and groundwork across West Africa, Ghana has emerged as the strongest, most ready place to begin.
Here’s why:
Government support is in place
Ghana’s Creative Arts Agency (CAA), under the Ministry of
Tourism, Arts and Culture, has formally endorsed Peace Stars and
committed to:
• Helping identify participating musicians
•
Making key stakeholder introductions
• Providing official
letters of support
• Supporting production logistics
Partners are ready now
We have trusted collaborators on the ground who can begin artist selection and pre-production as soon as funding is secured.
A safe, stable environment for filming
This gives us the ability to deliver a beautiful, meaningful first project without delay and to demonstrate the Peace Stars model to the world.
Launching in Ghana allows us to show what Peace Stars is capable of, not just talk about it.
The Vision
Peace Stars brings musicians together across divides, ethnic, cultural, social, or political, to create original collaborative performances that showcase unity in action.
This filmed project in Ghana will be the first chapter, the spark that powers the wider Peace Stars movement and leads to the launch of our global music competition.
Where Peace Stars Began
The idea for Peace Stars was shaped by early conversations with Nigerian artists such as Di’ja and Ruby Gyang, whose commitment to reconciliation through music inspired our direction. Their passion helped lay the foundation for this movement.
Di’ja -
a Muslim from Kaduna |
Ruby
- a Christian from Plateau State | Di’ja (Hadiza Blell) is a globally celebrated musician with Nigerian and Sierra Leonean roots. Her voice carries grace and grit, and her music blends cultures into powerful expressions of hope. | Ruby Gyang began her journey in church choirs before co-founding one of Nigeria’s most iconic music collectives. Her voice is strong, soulful, and uncompromising.
|
Together, they are building a new narrative of resilience, harmony, and unity.
Now, with strong infrastructure and support in Ghana, we’re ready to bring that vision to life on screen and to extend this work across West Africa and beyond.
