Sweet Nona has been trying to survive alone on the dangerous streets of Brazil.

It is so hard for these strays to survive.

They are despised by the locals and are thought of as no better than vermin.

Nona's situation became even more tragic when she was run over. You can see on the video she has lost control of her back legs, and is struggling to get up.

She is in agony.

We are so very thankful a handful of people found her who are animal lovers.

They are poor so they are not able to care for Nona. But they took her to one of their yards and desperately seeked help.

Eventually they tracked down our rescue friends in Brazil and sent them the video.

Bursting at the seams as usual, the rescue, with over 70 dogs already in their care, couldn't look the other way.

They rushed to scoop her up and get her into their vets but damage is HUGE.

Right now she is broken BUT there is a lot of hope to mend her.

Nona is a big dog but she is young. Only about 10-12 months old; just a puppy.

Please help Nona and her rescue. It's going to be at least $4000. A breathtaking amount with so many other mouths to feed and vetting needs, which is a constant drain.

Please take the burden of this vet bill off their shoulders, so her rescue can get on with their job of getting Nona well and healthy and starting the job of finding a foster or adopter for her.

This is most urgent. Nona needs surgeries quickly and needs to be pain free.
