Friday nite on the way to Eastern Oregon outside of La Pine, heading south on Hwy 31, I hit a deer. Was only doing 55 mph which is 10 mph under the speed limit and it jumped right in front and hit it right in the center. Thankfully, it didn’t go up and thru the windshield or was told there could have been a very different outcome.
Pictures don't look bad but was told its obviously totaled due to its age. Everyone came after someone called 911. All the agencies were so kind that showed up..., 2 ambulances, fire truck, ODOT, police, and a couple of other agencies never heard of. Was obviously shaken as never hit and killed anything before but didn't need all the emergency help. Was really quite embarrassed with it all but thankful.
The fender is barely hanging on, radiator was pushed all the way back and punctured, driver side light is broken and a number of other things don't recall what they are.
Being a female that travels alone most of the time have AAA Premium. It will tow up to 200 miles and pay for 2 nights lodging and food till I got picked today. We have NO transportation for rescues now so anything you could financially help with would be so appreciated. Also, the more of you that share our Fundraiser and on your FB pages will help us get another van sooner to continue our passion of rescuing.
