Hello Everyone. My name is Kolmarge Harris. I am the founder of LSYO (Lansing Spartans Youth Organization) as well as the Mount Pleasant Boxing and Fitness gym. 

Growing up in Chicago as a child I faced many challenges from bullying to learning disabilities to a social and economic difference and demographic that if I would not have addressed correctly would have led me down a path of certain destruction and absolute failure. I firsthand have had to overcome these barriers that we all face as Children and My goal is to spread the possibilities of opportunity down to the young people of our community. These organizations are in place to offer a set of tools and principles that would breed structure and success amongst the leaders of tomorrow. 

 We are operating under a 501c3 tax bracket and are in need of support from the community and leaders of today that believe in our vision for tomorrow. 

 My goal is to raise $100,000. These funds would be allocated towards an expansion of space, obtaining sports equipment and relevant safety gear, Branded Attire for members, and marketing/ consumer retention costs. 

I could speak about my accomplishments all day but what matters most is how I can make a child believe in their own ability when they may not even be aware in the first place. 

My students range in ages of 9-17. Everyone who participates does so voluntarily because we want them to want more for themselves not because they are made to by someone else. My wish is to build a solid foundation that is based off integrity and growth, balance and consistency, patience and most of all care.
