The Leigh Reece Classical Pilates Scholarship has been established in loving memory of Leigh Reece, whose passion for Classical Pilates was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Leigh believed profoundly in the power of Pilates, not simply as a form of movement, but as a practice that could transform the body, strengthen the mind, and enrich the spirit. Her dedication to the method was evident in the joy, commitment, and enthusiasm she brought to her Pilates practice and to those around her.
Honoring Leigh's Love of the Method
Leigh was devoted to her craft and to her students. She approached Pilates with curiosity, discipline, joy, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
As a teacher, she cared deeply about each student's journey and took great pride in helping others discover the strength, awareness, and confidence that the Pilates method can bring.
Following Leigh's passing from ovarian cancer, this scholarship is being created to carry forward something she cared deeply about: the preservation and continuation of the Classical Pilates method.
The Leigh Reece Pilates Scholarship
The scholarship will support a student pursuing their education through The Pilates Center Teacher Training Program .
It is intended for a dedicated and passionate student who embodies Leigh's love of the method and who seeks to deepen their understanding, practice, and teaching of Classical Pilates.
By helping make comprehensive teacher training possible for another student, the scholarship creates a meaningful continuation of Leigh's work. The student who receives this support will have the opportunity to carry the method forward through their own practice, teaching, and future students.
