Unidad de Tratamiento Francisco Delgado is a non-profit drug and alcohol rehabilitation organization in Mexico.
We've been able to help so many addicts down here - while managing the fiscal situation quite adeptly in the interim - that we are, once again, expanding. We're becoming a chain of rehabs.
We currently have three fully-functioning centers in Baja California: UTFD for men in Ensenada; UTFD for men in San Vicente; and Casa Julia for women, also in SV.
We are now in the process of actualizing our fourth: UTFD CoEd in La Paz.
The new La Paz annex is what we are terming a work/distribution center (very much like what our Ensenada unit has become). The new unit down there is geared to help addicts both through a 12-Step-based regimen, as well as through its heavy emphasis on work.
However, whereas Colony 89's work program focuses on our outsourcing labor, La Paz is quickly becoming specialized in turning products made inhouse. Food products. Textiles.
La Paz is huge. An enormous market for the clothing items the girls of Casa Julia have been cranking out for months now. Primarily aprons and facemasks.
This first asking towards the new work/distribution rehab in La Paz will go towards mattresses for the newly-acquired structure. Also, everything that is required by the state of Baja California in terms of medical -- completely flesh out the infirmary, then doctor sign-off -- will be included in these initial funds and subsequent purchases.
