Our Mission

Knobs Right is an organization founded by first responders, for first responders — with one purpose: to help our brothers and sisters in uniform find strength, support, and success in both professional and personal life.

When the world feels loud, unfocused, and out of control, we must find a way to reset. It’s estimated that 1 in 3 first responders experience Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). We intentionally leave off the “D” — because it’s not a disorder. It’s not a disease to be cured by medication alone. It’s a reality that requires honesty, connection, and the courage to ask for help.

When the walls feel like they’re closing in and the pressure of the job collides with life’s everyday stressors, we can’t go it alone. Our professions are built on teamwork — and our mental health demands the same level of commitment.

Who We Are

Knobs Right was created by an LAPD police officer and a Kansas City Metro Firefighter who met at a first responder wellness facility in California. After countless shared stories, we realized one undeniable truth: the call doesn’t end when the shift does.

It follows us home.
To our families.
Into the nights.
Into the quiet moments.

Too many heroes are being lost to suicide, substance abuse, and the overwhelming toll of untreated trauma. Current systems aren’t enough. But together, we believe we can change that.

Our Commitment

We are launching a podcast and nationwide initiative dedicated to honest, unfiltered conversations around mental health in the first responder community. We are here to amplify real voices, share real stories, and help dial down the pressure — one life at a time.
