We Bleed Green!

We are the Irish Women's National Softball Team's striving to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The road to LA 2028 starts in 2024 with our Under 18 WNT competing in the U18 World Cup in Dallas, USA and our U22 WNT competing in the European Championships in Poland. We are hoping that we can get you to join us at the start of the Road to LA and get on our wagon before the band!

Faspitch Ireland is the official Fastpitch Softball programme sanctioned by Irish Softball and recognised by the Olympic Federation of Ireland. Most of the Irish softball players, for the time being, live in North America and are competing at the highest level of Travel Ball and College Softball. Each players who puts on the green jersey is an Irish citizen, who was born in Ireland or have grown up in a family steeped in Irish heritage. The players wear the jersey with great pride and represent the Irish nation at the highest level of softball globally and on a number of occasions have brought home medals to be celebrated.

Why We Need YOUR Support

Unfortunately Team Ireland only receives limited funding and our trips to international tournaments are self funded by our wonderful players and coaches. It will cost over $100,000 (which does NOT include airfare) for our players and coaches to compete in Poland and Dallas in 2024.

Without fundraising and donations, each player will be required to pay $1,500 for each tournament placing huge financial pressure on both the players and their families.

Our main mission is to promote the growth of womens softball in Ireland, provide a pathway to international competitions, and be the best representatives for our country that we can. Donations are a key part of growing the game in Ireland and supporting our international athletes and all funds raised go towards offsetting costs of athletes and coaches and investing in grass roots programmes!
