Dear Friends of Stony Creek Farmstead,
This year marks our 20th anniversary of farming, stewarding the land, and welcoming friends and families to experience the magic of Stony Creek Farmstead. Over the past two decades, we’ve loved sharing this special place with you—helping kids gather eggs for the first time, watching families reconnect around the campfire, and sharing sustainable farming practices that nourish both body and soul.
Now, we need your help to ensure Stony Creek Farmstead thrives for another 20 years and beyond. Due to new state regulations, we must upgrade our water system—a critical investment that will determine our ability to continue welcoming guests.
*The Urgent Need: Water System Upgrade*
Our farm’s pristine spring water is a gift—we drink it, cook with it, and use it to nourish our animals and crops. It has always been treated with UV light and passed rigorous monthly testing, but New York State now requires us to upgrade our system to meet new public-use regulations Without this upgrade, we cannot continue welcoming guests. We need to raise $80,000 to install the new system—ensuring our farm stays open and our water remains pristine. We can't do this without your help.
~Phase 2: Stony Creek Farmstead Outdoor Learning Center~
Once we meet our water system goal, we plan to continue our expansion of Stony Creek Farmstead onto the beautiful, mountaintop section of our land, Stony Hill Farm. This secluded, scenic area offers breathtaking views and more privacy—an ideal spot for more farm-stay accommodations and our outdoor learning center.
In 2018, we partnered with some friends to purchase 150 acres adjacent to the farm. So far, we have invested an additional $100,000 to install water lines, storage tanks, driveways, a swimming pond, upgrade electrical service and livestock fencing. To continue development of this exciting project, we are seeking to raise an additional $100,000 to finish the water & utilities system we began in 2020 and to build the first guest & teaching spaces!

• 158 trees planted – apple, plum, peach, maple, willow, elder, mulberry, pine
• 250 Belted Galloway beef cows born and raised here
• 540 lambs birthed and raised on our pastures
• 100+ varieties of vegetables and fruits grown for guests, workshop participants, and our family
• 5,000 broiler chickens raised and butchered to feed local families
• 350,000 eggs laid by our pastured organic chickens
• 37,500 pizzas stretched, baked, and shared at our Saturday Pizza Nights
• 1,200 turkeys raised and butchered for Thanksgiving
• 1,700 kids attended Art Farm Workshops in painting, acting, drumming, metal smithing and more—exploring and forming friendships that have lasted far beyond the farm
• 270 NYC kids camped overnight through our partnership with Trailblazers
• 2,500 families who’ve stayed with us, many returning year after year, making memories on the farm
• 47 apprentices trained in sustainable farming practices

About the Campaign
1. What is this campaign for?
This campaign is raising funds for a critical water
system upgrade required by New York State to ensure we can
continue welcoming guests to Stony Creek Farmstead. Our stretch goal
will help us expand to Stony Hill, adding new guest
accommodations in a breathtaking mountaintop setting.
2. Why is the water system upgrade so expensive?
The new regulations require a commercial-grade water
filtration and treatment system to meet public-use
standards. This involves new infrastructure, installation, and
compliance costs totaling $80,000.
3. What happens if you don’t reach the goal?
If we don’t raise the full amount, we’ll explore financing
options or scale the project in phases. But without this
upgrade, we won’t be able to host guests, so your support
is crucial!
4. What is the stretch goal?
If we exceed our $80,000 goal, additional funds will help us
develop Stony Hill, a new farm-stay area offering
greater privacy and stunning views. This expansion requires
$100,000 to install water infrastructure and build
the first guest tents.

5. How can I contribute?
You can donate directly through our FundRazr campaign
page. Simply select a perk (if you’d like one) and follow the

6. Can I donate without selecting a perk?
Yes! There’s an option to contribute any amount without claiming
a perk.
7. Can I get multiple perks?
Yes! Just increase your donation amount and select the
quantity of each perk you’d like.
8. What if I want a perk but don’t live in the U.S.?
For physical items, please reach out to us about shipping costs
outside the U.S.
9. When will I receive my perks?

Physical items (patches, totes, t-shirts, prints) will ship within 4-6 weeks of the campaign ending.

Farm boxes will be delivered in Fall/Winter 2025 when our harvest is complete.

10. What does the ‘Lifetime Pizza Night Membership’ include?
This membership gives you all-you-can-eat pizza and
salads at our Saturday Pizza Nights—forever! You’ll still
need to reserve a table when you plan to come. If you
want one for your whole family, select multiple memberships!

11. If I get a farm stay reward, when can I visit?
Farm stays can be redeemed in 2026 or beyond.
You’ll work with us to pick your dates based on availability.
12. Can I book a farm stay for someone else?
Absolutely! Just let us know when scheduling.
13. What’s included in the “Full Farm Retreat Weekend” perk?
You’ll have exclusive use of all six tents for
two nights, all meals included (including a private pizza night), and
a personalized farm tour and activity of your choice (herbal salve
making, bread baking, gardening, etc.).

At this time, donations are not tax-deductible,
as we are not a registered nonprofit. However, your contribution
directly supports our farm’s future!
