Welcome to the 1st Merrill Middle School Annual Giving Campaign!
Just like the campaigns you’re used to in elementary school, the Merrill Middle School Annual Giving Campaign raises funds from Merrill families and the local community in order to support Merrill’s programming, fill funding gaps, and provide enrichment and academic support that falls outside the standard district budget.
Our goal this year is to raise $40,000 or more with 100%
participation from our Merrill families!
(For each grade with at least 50% of families donating,
there will be a special Donut Day celebration!)
With your support, Merrill can:
- 'FILL THE GAP' - in order to keep class sizes smaller, Merrill accepted fewer choice students this year resulting in a funding gap from the district (the district funds schools based on number of students)
- Provide Classroom, Club, Sports and Enrichment Support
- Hold School Events to promote community and student camaraderie
Merrill Middle School is a public school on the rise thanks to the active involvement by parents and the community in both volunteering and fundraising. We can’t do this without you!
Merrill Middle School accepted 27 fewer choice students for 2019-20 than in the previous year. This reduced class sizes and reduced the overall dollars Merrill received from the district. Merrill spends this money on teacher and staff salaries and programming costs.
Your contribution will go to directly offset this GAP in order to keep class sizes smaller, resulting in more individualized instruction and overall academic success for all students.

- To donate by cash or check, please take donations to the Merrill front office. Please make checks payable to “Merrill PTSA” with “Merrill Giving Campaign” in the memo.

- Please include a phone number and email with all cash and check donations in order to receive a receipt for tax purposes.
