Evansville Outreach is a group of volunteers from various organizations, companies, churches, and the community. Our sole purpose is giving back and spreading love. For the past 5 years (with the exception of 2016), we have sponsored a school supply drive to fill over 500 backpacks. Each year it gets bigger (increased need) and better (increased number of volunteers) and 2017will be no different.

If 275 people give $50, we will meet our minimum goal. 100% of the funds raised will be used to purchase backpacks (approximately $3500) and school supplies (approximately $10,000 at $20 worth of supplies in each). We use coupons and sales to shop for the best deals to maximize the budget using over 50 shoppers throughout the city.

On the day of the event, we are humbled by the number of people who sleep at the doors of the giveaway location to ensure they receive a backpack. We need your help to guarantee every child who stands in our line does not leave empty handed. We want them to leave with a backpack filled with school supplies (and love).

We treat each family/child with love and compassion. We laugh with them, dance with them, and play with them. We are blessed when the recipients of the backpacks tell us they have never met such a joyful, thoughtful, compassionate, and passionate group of people.
