Daphne is a hero
This is the 5th anniversary of Daphne’s brutal assassination and Repubblika, #occupyjustice and manueldelia.com are organising a series of events that befit this important occasion. As we reiterate our call for truth and justice, this year’s events will not only commemorate Daphne’s work, but will also focus on the fact that she is a true Maltese hero.
We Need Your Help
Although faced with a constant uphill battle, we have achieved a lot in five years. However, it’s not enough; and it won’t be until truth and justice for Daphne are achieved, and until we ensure that our national institutions function as expected in a truly democratic country – for the good of our nation and for generations to come. Daphne faced her own uphill battle in fighting for this truth and in making the ultimate sacrifice by having her life so brutally cut short, she truly is a hero.
We are calling upon you for your help and support once again, to help us continue her work and what she believed in.
This is the programme of events we have lined up from 8th October:
The holistic aim of all these events is to celebrate Daphne’s heroic work for truth and justice, while promoting integrity in public life. We also will reiterate our obligation to generate awareness that accepting corruption as a normal practice of government is a menace to society. Only through awareness and greater understanding can we elevate our nation and start building a better future.
How Can You Help?
Your crowdfunding donation to Repubblika will help us to pay for all the costs incurred in the organisation, planning and implementation of the calendar of events to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Daphne’s assassination. The costs also include administration and logistical expenses and the promotion of the full programme of events to reach as wide an audience as possible.
The total cost to be incurred for these events is €20,000 and we are therefore aiming to collect these funds via this crowd-funding action.
