A new project from Swing Shift Studio, the crew behind Alien Drive-Thru

🎪The Big Tiny Tarot Tent is a mystical cartomancy experience designed to encourage exploration and synchronicity.

There are two distinct but connected spaces. On one side, participants receive a surreal one-on-one tarot reading from a living doll, animated by a human. On the other side, there is a dome, where anyone may enter, relax, explore a large collection of different tarot decks, and step into the role of the living doll on the other side.

🧙Tarot readings usually involve a reader, who holds mystical knowledge, and a querent, seeking answers in their life, who may not understand the cards at all. It can often feel like a lost person seeking a narrator for their own life’s story.

👁️This experience offers the opportunity for a participant to find themselves on both sides of this relationship, possibly by accident. It allows a querent, or someone who has only ever been a querent, to find themselves in a library making mystical knowledge available to them, and the opportunity to assume the role of the narrator in someone else’s story. It also enables experienced readers to submit to a reading by an amateur, seeing the cards through a beginner’s eyes.

🦄There are opportunities for mischief on both sides of the table: there is no guarantee anyone is using their knowledge of the cards for good, or that the querent is an earnest seeker.

🔮Swing Shift Studio is excited to bring the Big Tiny Tarot Tent to a thing in a forest near you. But it’s going to take a little more than some fairy dust and elbow grease to get it there.
