At Alaskan Homestead Education, we're on a mission to improve the lives of those in our communities via increasing food security in the area and donating a portion of what we grow to those in need.

Alaskans food supply is largely dependent on outside growers and a long supply chain. We aim to shorten that chain, for some, to their own backyard, and others, through donations of locally grown, clean food.

Just this spring we are planting nearly an acre of clean, certified Alaskan potatoes on land that some have generously permitted the use of their land for these purposes. Over a thousand pounds of seed potatoes were donated, along with funds, tractor hours and many volunteers. 

Clearly we can’t do this alone and community involvement is what we want to encourage. We need your help to continue on! By joining us in this campaign, you'll be part of something bigger than yourself— bringing the food supply a little closer to home.

We have an URGENT need of funds for supplies like road fabric, a harvester, tractor maintenance, and fuel.
