🎬 From Gaza to Brazil: Help Me Study Film and Rebuild My Future
Hello, my name is Ahmad Al-Najjar. I am a Palestinian digital
storyteller, journalist, and visual content creator from Gaza.
For more than 8 years, I worked in media, journalism, and digital storytelling, creating content focused on humanitarian issues, community stories, and social impact. One of the most important moments in my career was participating in the media coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
My workplace is a video and audio recording studio
Like many Palestinians from Gaza, my life changed completely because of the war.
After being displaced from Khan Younis, I spent months living under extremely difficult conditions while trying to survive and support my family. The war interrupted my career, separated me from stability, and forced me to rebuild my life from zero.
Today, I am living in Brazil and trying to start over again.
Despite everything, I still hold onto one dream: to study cinema and filmmaking academically and turn my experiences into meaningful stories that give a voice to people who are often unheard.
Film, for me, is not only art. It is memory, identity, and a way to preserve human stories that could otherwise disappear.
I am currently working long hours every day while also trying to continue my education, learn Portuguese, and prepare for a future in film and media studies in Brazil.
