What we do.
ReadAvidly Campaign is a non-profit organisation registered under the Department of Social Development in South Africa. This campaign is about reading books. Our major aim is to instill a culture of avid reading. We intend to start thoroughly in South Africa, and as the campaign grows, we would like to spread to other African nations until we conquer the whole of Africa. Reading books is extremely crucial, but unfortunately, many people don't read books. Many people never open, touch, or read a book once they have completed school. Now we are ready to fight.
How you can help us this Giving Tuesday.
We are seeking support in order to raise some money to buy a car, preferably a bakkie. At least $20, 000 will be sufficient, as we are aiming to purchase a brand new car. The journey will be very long; we are going to travel day and night.
How contributions will be used for Giving Tuesday.
As I'm speaking, we are completely failing to proceed with this important campaign because we can't manage to travel from place to place since we don't have a vehicle. However, with your support, we can manage to buy our own vehicle. Once we have our own transportation, we can run the campaign at a national level across South Africa, and then the book industry will never be the same again.
