Hi, I am Emily Haden, founder of Live Love Animal Rescue. With a group of dedicated volunteers, I have been working in Socal for the past 4 years to save and improve the lives of hundreds of abandoned, abused pets and desperate pets.  Our mission is to rescue animals from streets and shelters with severe medical and behavioral hurdles to overcome and those that other rescues overlook.  We commit to these souls with all our heart and see them through every single hurdle until they are adopted by their forever family.  It is truly an honor to help animals that have bever been shown proper medical care, nutrition, emotional and mental stimulus/support- we give them just what they've been missing out on.  To see the gratitude in their eyes makes every thing right in the world.  And to erase years of mistreatment with a few months of unconditional care and love is an absolute joy. 

VIOLET is no exception to our mission- she truly exemplifies it .  I'll never forget the day I met eyes with her at the Long Beach Animal Care facility last December- right then and there I declared that getting her safe would be my Christmas Wish.  She is an old soul- you can feel it from her eyes.  She was perfectly quiet and still among the chaotic shelter and conveyed without a doubt that she had never ever known true love or care.  Violet was over-bred, malnourished, suffering from the worst fungal and bacterial skin infections I have ever seen and after being abandoned by the humans who did this to her, she was completely out of time with her shelter stay.  

Miracles manifested, and we got her safe! 

The first vet visit we had pre-op blood work done, discussed options for her skin- which had mounds of dead tissue from years of infections, and scheduled her spay & nip/tuck procedure.  Our vet team were as shocked as us to see the extent of obvious medical neglect Violet had experienced for her whole life.  But she sure did win all of our hearts with her exceptionally sweet disposition and looks of gratitude for the care she was recieving.  

Our girl made it through surgery without a bit of complication and over the next 4 months was having excellent healing progress!

Then...the repeated bladder infections started...shes been on antibiotics every 2 weeks for the past 4 months. Her urgency to urinate, blood in urine and discomfort would improve for a week then return immediately.  Ultrasounds show a deformity in her bladder- we don't know if it is cancerous or genetic or from her years of being bred repeadtely and having infections... The only way to know for sure is with an exploratory surgery to take samples of the bladder for lab testing.  It's an invasive procedure but truly our only option at this point. :(  

The estimate details the full procedure that Violet will undergo THIS THURSDAY 7/9/2015.  We feel positive that no cancer will be found and a treatment plan will be reached as the outcome of the surgery.  However- in no way are we financally prepared for this large bill.  Violet is counting on us- and we NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE!
