Kempston Community Theatre was created in January 2013 with the view of making theatre accessible to the local community especially to people who might not have previous experience but who have a desire to learn acting, improvisation and performance skills. The community group is open to all regardless of abilities or experienc.
The community theatre offers opportunities for creativity and self-expression but also for connection, sharing and celebration.
The community theatre has so far produced two performances: 'The Mountain Language' by H. Pinter performed at The Keep in Kempston (Bedford) in 2013; and 'The Canterbury Tales and Other Travelling Tales' performed as part of Bedfringe 2014 at Bedford College and Addison Park.
We are raising money to ensure that the we can continue offering a community theatre to the local community given that it is entirely run on a voluntary basis.
The funding will help cover the weekly cost of the community group as well as enabling further productions. The group is currently working on Samuel Beckett's 'Come and Go'
