My name is Theresa Hyder, and I’m the proud owner of Sunshine Dry Cleaning Boutique, a Black-owned, woman-led business rooted in heart, hard work, and community. For over 4 years, we’ve proudly served the Stafford, Missouri City, Sugar Land, and greater Houston areas—bringing professionalism, care, and a personal touch to every garment we handle.

This business was born out of necessity, passion, and a dream to build something that not only supported my family but also uplifted the community around me. As a mother, an entrepreneur, and a leader, I’ve poured everything into this business—from managing operations and training local staff, to helping our customers feel confident and cared for through exceptional service.

But like many small businesses, especially Black-owned and woman-owned establishments, we’ve faced real challenges. The pandemic, rising operational costs, and limited access to funding have taken a toll. We’re reaching out now—not out of defeat—but out of determination.

We are seeking to raise $30,000 to help with:

• Upgrading and repairing essential dry-cleaning equipment
• Expanding our community job training and hiring efforts
• Launching mobile and delivery services to better reach seniors and busy families
• Marketing and outreach to let more people know about the quality, care, and pride behind every pressed shirt and cleaned garment

This isn’t just about keeping a business open—it’s about preserving a legacy, creating local jobs, and continuing to serve families, professionals, and students with dignity and excellence. Every dollar you contribute directly supports a business built from scratch by a hardworking Black woman, dedicated to growth, empowerment, and community impact.
