At the end of last month, 30/3/25, we as PETS2ADOPT CYPRUS CHARITY had a cargo shipment to England of one of the last adopted puppies  hounds from the litter that was rescued in November 2024 near a school in Limassol.

Everything would be fine😀, the dog flew home and began to adapt, make new friends, but then it turned out that the veterinarian had made a mistake😢 in the date of the rabies vaccination. The vaccination was early, earlier than it should have been due to a mistake by the veterinarian who administered the vaccination. It did not occur to me that in such a situation it was necessary to repeat the vaccination, since the vaccination had already been done or somehow to hide it.

As a result, after the dog arrived, the animal import and health control authorities APHA in England discovered an error in the documents. And despite the fact that the vaccination was still there, they decided that the dog 🐕should be quarantined and the vaccination repeated again🤯. It is believed that if the vaccination is done earlier than necessary, it is not effective. I did not know that sure.

They came to the adopters home and, based on the current regulations in the UK, on 10/4/25 they took the dog  to a special kennel for quarantine😢.

The dog will be there until 05/05/25, according to them. They issued the bill quote for the costs associated with transporting the dog and keeping it in a temporary kennel, and the invoice exceeds 1,300 British pounds🤯💷 whichis about 1,500 euros.

This is a huge amount 😨for us as a charity, since in this situation, due to our fault, this expense arose for the adopters and, naturally, they expect the bill to be covered by us, then we need to collect 🙏💷this money before the end of the quarantine so that the adopters can pay these unexpected expenses for them, which arose through no fault of theirs.

On our part, I personally, as a volunteer, who was responsible for preparing the dog for the flight✈️, and the veterinarian, due to whose fault the error occurred, will contribute part of the costs, but we cannot afford to cover the entire amount🤯.

The vet promised to transfer 400 euros and 200 pounds I can pay myself, but this is not even half. We really need your help🙏♥️🐕 ,
