UPDATE: 4/23

Positive Fields has created and distributed 1050 face shields to regional health care workers. Penny Willingham and Hometown Quilt Shop has created and distributed over 3,500 cotton face masks to health care workers all over the Southeast. Requests for shields and masks continue.

As of today Positive Fields has created and distributed 534 face shields to regional health care workers. Penny Willingham and Hometown Quilt Shop has created and distributed 2,344 cotton face masks to health care workers all over the Southeast.

Positive Fields is working with Newberry Industrial based in LaGrange. They are now donating their time and machines to help us manufacture these face shields at a much higher capacity than we are able to alone.

We are changing our goal to $5,000.00 to reflect the growing demand for these items. So far, our PPE has gone to these organizations:

• Wellstar Douglas Hospital/ Wellstar Health System

• Troup County Fire Dept.

UPDATE:

We changed the goal from $500.00 to $3000.00. Why? because we are learning that the need for emergency personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care workers is steadily increasing.  Since we started this campaign we have been working every day to fulfill the requests for cotton surgical masks and full coverage face shields. Hi everyone- this is Grady Sain, director of Positive Fields. We're working with Penny Willingham from Home Town Quilt Shop here in Hogansville, GA on an urgent project and we need your help.

Health Care Workers need emergency medical supplies. Penny is already making masks for Health Care Workers in the city of LaGrange, and we can tell that the need for more supplies is dramatically increasing. 

We need to raise some funds quickly to purchase materials. We need to continue making surgical masks, and begin making full coverage face shields.

UPDATE: Here is the design of our face shield:

We're making these supplies to fulfill an urgent need. Until supplies from traditional suppliers and sources increase, we're going to keep this campaign open.

The money goes to cover costs for:

• Cotton fabric
• ELASTIC BANDS
• 3D printing filament
• PVC plastic for face shield brackets
• paracord / buckles for face shield attachment
• EVA foam for face shields
• clear plastic sheets for face shields

Sourcing more elastic bands are our number one priority. Here is an example of the type we are looking for:

We have a supplier in Atlanta who is stocked with PETG plastic sheets for face shields. We have our 3D printing farm nearly up and running, and we have enough PLA filament to get started on making parts.

Positive Fields and Home Town Quilt Shop will be working together to coordinate efforts to keep making and delivering these supplies. We can always use more accurate information concerning:

• What individuals and organizations need supplies
• Where we can source materials
• What design changes to our supplies need to be made
