We realize that many do not understand the needs of animals that have NO ONE, animals that are gotten, then forgotten. Animals with no voices, animals that would suffer a horrible death from organs shutting down due to no food, no care from sickness, injuries...This is where Ohana steps in..when we get the call, text, email, or private message, we try and help where we can, and how we can, either by offering food to help the people get through the crunch or opening our home to the animal in need. With the economy in such horriic shape, the need is greater. If we said NO more often, we would not have to ask the public for assistance. Yes the save is wonderful for the people saving from the kill pens, BUT what about the animals after they are saved? They need vetting, farrier, groceries, and for the most part, medical...this is where the fund raisers come in....we need your help continuing to save what horses (animals) we can. We were strictly horses, but are now up to 6 dogs and 2 cats...these also need vetting, groceries...we rehome when the animal picks its forever human...We had a situation here at the rescue that has hurt us tremendously..we took in two VERY ill baby horses. We had to shut our gates so as NOT to start an epidemic of the disease. We have been working very closely with the State of Florida and we are just about through the quarantine. We have been released to adopt out the horses that were here before we accepted the near death babies, but we now have to make up for two months of no adoptions. We are a 501c3 non profit and can write you receipts for your taxes. We are asking if you have an extra dollar in change in the bottom of your purse, or pocket that you could help the animals with no voice? All proceeds go right back into running of the rescue...Are you the next earth angel that is willing to help this rescue continue to help the horses in need?
