Tired of masks yet? I know I am.
Trying to adjust the crummy straps all the time, the steamed up glasses, getting brain haze from the unexpelled carbon dioxide in the mask. Most of all, it bugs me that they offer hardly more than token protection. And I'm talking about the N95 type here! The surgical masks and cloth bandanas that most people wear are utterly useless. The rampant spread of Omicron in spite of everybody wearing masks and 60% of us being vaccinated proves it.
UVPK - personal air sterilizer
Wouldn't it be great if you could buy something that's as easy to put on and take off as a hat, is 100% effective protection, makes the air fresher than what you'd be inhaling without it and is comfortable enuf to wear all day?

In April 2020 we began developing the UltraViolet Pathogen Killer respiratory protection device. It uses ultraviolet light to kill airborne pathogens before they can get inside you. That includes bacteria, fungal spores, viruses - anything with genes in it that was on it's way to your face will not make it thru alive.
When viruses can't get from 1 person to the next, they are doomed. They can only multiply till the victim's immune system finally wins the battle or he dies, leaving little opportunity to mutate into a more effective form.
So, beyond just protecting you, the UVPK concept has the possibility of ending this pandemic and preventing all future airborne contagions from growing beyond relatively small local outbreaks.
Pandemic Fatigue
Tired of the pandemic yet? I know I am.
Even the Governement is. Nobody in charge is talking about shut downs even with overloaded hospitals and a million new cases and 4,000 fatalities every day. (Jan 5 2022)
We are done with it! Its boring!
Unfortunately, it's not done with us.
It looks like it's settling in, becoming endemic, like the flu, so we are stuck with masks and getting jabbed in the arm 2 or 3 times a year from now on. 2023 for sure. 2025? 2030? 2050?
That sounds like a grim future to me.
But that's if we are very lucky and Omicron does not mutate into a nastier variant. There is nothing stopping it from mutating beyond the capability of our immune systems to handle, like herpies and HIV. If it doesn't kill you, you become a permanent contagious carrier suffering from whatever side effects it has. Then, depending on the fatality rate, we could concievably go extinct.
And what happens when another virus, bacteria or fungus starts running amok? I do not like the idea of getting shots and taking pills every week.
A Better Idea: Don't inhale the virus. Don't inhale any germs.
How It Works
The UVPK unit works by passing air thru an intense field of 275 nanometer wavelength lite ( the upper range of the UV-C band that does not generate ozone) to kill or damage any microorganisms in the air. The Chamber UV Doom, as I have named it, contains and concentrates the deadly rays with mirror finish aluminum. Since UV is also harmful to eyes and skin, the entry and exit baffles block it while allowing air to pass thru.
A pre-screen keeps larger particles from contaminating the unit, which would reduce its effectiveness and a final filter catches the scorched corpses before you breath the sterilized air.
Viruses rely on getting into us to reproduce. when they do, they also mutate and the best versions reproduce more, soon becoming the dominant strain. This is how they defeat vaccines and drugs.
C band ultraviolet lite is so inimical to microscopic life forms that it is virtually impossible for them to adapt to. This breaks the mutate-survive-proliferate cycle, ending the pandemic.

The mask and helmet you see above are proof-of-concept prototypes. They work, but are not really ready for mass production. The major work of the next prototypes will be perfecting the ergonomics - making it so comfortable, easy to use and even stylish that you will want to wear it!
Creating the UVPK product will take another stage of engineering, design and testing and way more money. A small 10 or 20 dollar donation from you and just1% of America's citizens would be plenty.
