Smith Wigglesworth's Bowland Street Mission closed its doors in 1919. Almost 100 years later we are following God's command "Take back my land" a vision given to Rev Vincent Mann a number of years ago.
We aquired a lease on the building in January 2017and with limited funds and un-limited faith in God we started the work on the building. It has been conservatively estimated that the work will cost around £150,000. To date we have raised approximately 10% largely through our own congregation and funds raised from our charity shop.
We are now looking to raise funds from supporters outside our own fellowship and this is the purpose of this appeal.
The work so far has been done on donated labour but with time pressures on so many this is limited and a lot of the time Rev Mann has been working alone. With additional financial support it may be possible to pay for tradesmen to help complete the work.
Bowland Street Mission is located in a poor area of Bradford with problems such as homelessness, drugs and prostitution to mention but a few. It is our vision to offer help and support to these victims through our association with recognised organisations. Our primary objective is to preach the Gospel to the lost. The Mission has a kitchen (Unrestored) and shower facilities where we would be able to offer people washing facilities, fresh clothes and warm food with an opportuint to accept Christ into their lives.

This project is not about Smith Wigglesworth, the Bowland Street Mission or Rev Mann, it is about our obedience to spread the Gospel of the good news of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who died for us on Calvary's cross for the forgiveness of our sins. On the third day Jesus rose from the grave having conquered death. For the wages of sin is death and Jesus paid the price for us. All we have to do is accept his sacrifice and ask him into our lives.
