Disco King 👑 Mario was more than a DJ: born July 1st 1956—he was a visionary, innovator, and cultural architect whose influence helped shape what the world now knows as Hip Hop culture. Widely recognized as the 4th Founding Father of the Original Hip Hop Movement, Mario revolutionized the dance floor, introduced groundbreaking techniques, and helped establish the energy, freedom, and community that defined Hip Hop in its earliest days.
Born from a grassroots movement in the Bronx during the mid-1970s, Hip Hop was never meant to be erased, commercialized without credit, or disconnected from its pioneers. Disco King Mario stood at the center of that movement—pushing boundaries, uniting communities, and inspiring generations of DJs, dancers, and creators across New York City and beyond.
