We are sure that right now, locked at home, you remember and daydream about these good times at Thalatta, the smile of the staff, the waitress calling your name (in a funny way sometimes), and the kindness of the masseuses, or the silly jokes of the boat crew. So many times they received your admiration and thanks, through words, smiles, or tips.

Today our resort is remained closed for foreign tourists and all leisure activities are suspended.

All of us at Thalatta would like to share with you how we will deal with it moving forward. Our 45 staff stay strong facing this crisis and preparing for better times, keeping the Filipino smile on their faces.  We have a moral obligation to each and every one of them, as the salaries they receive are to feed their families. We have been touched that so many of you have reached out to ask how you can help further so we would like to provide this opportunity .

Ever since this pandemic our entire regular staff have continuously been employed, receiving only half of their normal salaries, even those staying at home due to skeletal workforce, but alone we might not be able to keep this going in the long run, and this is where we need your help.

An important part of their income is usually coming from the TIP BOX, the minimum required to survive is fixed at 5 000 pesos per employee per month. If we want to be able to help them until the end of the year, the total is 1’500’000.00 PHP, or 30 000 USD

We have already allocated an emergency fund which will contribute to this fundraising but it will not be enough if the diving industry does not restart soon. We will allocate the entire funds received to our employees, giving them an income every 2 weeks, and share it with you.

Chers clients passés ou futurs, amis et famille de Thalatta. Nous espérons que vous et vos proches êtes en bonne santé, ce qui est une priorité absolue en ces temps agités.

Nous sommes sûrs qu'en ce moment, enfermé à la maison, vous vous souvenez et rêvez de ces bons moments à Thalatta, du sourire du personnel, de la serveuse qui vous appelle par votre prénom (de façon parfois drôle), et de la gentillesse des masseuses, ou du blagues  de l'équipage du bateau. Tant de fois, ils ont reçu votre admiration et vos remerciements, à travers des mots, des sourires ou des pourboires.

Aujourd'hui, notre resort reste fermé aux touristes étrangers et toutes les activités de loisirs sont suspendues.

Nos 45 employés restent forts face à cette crise et se préparent à des temps meilleurs, en gardant le sourire philippin sur leurs visages. Nous avons une obligation morale envers chacun d'entre eux, car les salaires qu'ils reçoivent sont destinés à nourrir leur famille. Nous avons été touchés par le fait qu’un si grand nombre d’entre vous se soit adressé à nous pour savoir comment aider. Nous aimerions donc vous offrir cette possibilité.

Depuis cette pandémie, l'ensemble de notre personnel régulier a été continuellement payé, ne recevant que la moitié de leur salaire normal, même ceux qui restent à la maison, mais seuls nous ne pourrons peut-être pas continuer à le faire à long terme, et c'est là que nous avons besoin de votre aide.
