Why We Need Your Help
The Coronavirus pandemic has hugely affected the lives of people in Lombok. Many of the island’s population are reliant on tourism and have lost their only source of income. With food prices rising, the weeks and months ahead are going to be more difficult than ever for them. That’s why the Island Islands Foundation is committed to helping provide these at-risk individuals with food supplies. To sustain that though, we need your help.
Who Are We Helping
Indonesians most affected by the global crisis, including labour workers, small business owners and their staff, vulnerable individuals whose lives are at risk, and those working in the informal sector, such as street vendors and moto-taxi drivers.
How Do We Help
All donations will be used to purchased and distribute food sustenance to those in need. This will include fresh fruit, vegetables, and multivitamins, as well as soap, disinfectant, and face masks to help limit the spread of Covid-19.
The Mechanism of Donation Distribution
Identifying Beneficiaries
- Our volunteer team and other accountable sources provide names of prospective beneficiaries.
- The Invest Islands Foundation then contact each person to verify their situation and specific needs.
Delivery of Aid Packages
- Each aid package will be delivered by moto-taxi.
- Each moto-taxi driver will have received hygiene safety training and a technical briefing on how to limit the spread of Covid-19.
- The team of volunteers will contact each beneficiary individually to organize a time-efficient delivery.
