Bambi was rescued from the CCSPCA, a high kill shelter, where she had hit the euthanasia list. Rescued by Lucky Dog Rescue she was diagnosed with Kennel Cough, Demodex mange with significant hair loss, she was malnourished and very underweight with a mouth full of rotting teeth, making it painful to eat. Lucky Dog did not anticipate the high cost of treatment for Bambi and turned to our "For the Love of Buttons" rescue assistance program for help. Elder Paws stepped in, placed Bambi in short term foster care while being vetted, and covered the full cost of treatment to restore Bambi's health. Her teeth were so bad that Bambi had to have a full mouth extraction...but she is now able to eat without pain and has gained some healthy weight.
Bambi is an absolute doll! Lucky Dog recently adopted Bambi into an amazing, loving home where she is absolutely adored, a valued member of the family! This holiday season Bambi will be shamelessly spoiled and showered with love and attention. (Isn't this what ALL senior dogs deserve?)
