Redemption Rescues hasn't added a story.
Dear rescue friends and family,
We hope you will consider making a much needed tax-deductible donation of any size towards our #GivingTuesday fundraiser for some of our most urgent and ongoing medical cases.
We currently have 17 doggies under our care, 8 of whom are seniors and 2 who currently have cancer. While this number pales in comparison to larger rescues, we purposefully keep our rescue small. We do this to ensure each dog under our care receives the highest quality medical treatment, training and rehabilitation when necessary. We know all of our dogs extremely well and are personally involved in every aspect of their care. We are a foster-based rescue and do not board our dogs. Because of our quality over quantity approach donors often overlook us, as we cannot take in new dogs every day. The rescue doesn’t end with the save, in fact, as you very well know, it is just beginning.
April Mae is 8 ½ years old. Our favorite pirate recently had to undergo a laparoscopic liver biopsy at one of our emergency vet partners. It has since been determined that her severe liver toxicity is due to an infection that they discovered could only be treated by one specific high potency inject-able antibiotic. These antibiotics are administered 2x per day intravenously and the medicine alone costs $820 every two weeks. Additionally, she has routine blood tests and costly visits with her internist every two weeks to continue to monitor her and ensure she is getting better. Additionally, April also has regular visits with her primary vet and visiting nurses to help her fosters administer the medicine.
Miss Kit (Cookie) is 11 years old. We pulled her to safety from Manhattan ACC a short time ago. She was an owner surrender who stated she had been hit by a car some time ago, but never was taken to a vet afterwards, causing her paw to heal folded over . Furthermore, Cookie is in need of an echo-cardiogram as our vet has determined she has a heart murmur. We want to have this done immediately as this will determine if she needs medicine going forward.
Nya is 8 years old. She is one of the neighborhood dogs that we rescued from a lifetime of suffering. She lived outside for 6 long years enduring scorching summers and blistering cold winters. She is in need of an ultrasound to get to the bottom of her recent chronic urinary tract infections.
There is truly no us without you and we can’t help April Mae, Cookie, or Nya without you. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today. Our words could never properly express how much we appreciate your support.
Thank you
