Central Florida Weimaraner & Dog Rescue DBA Lifeline Dog Rescue hasn't added a story.
My Name is Denise Ridgeon I am the president of Central Florida Weimaraner Rescue DBA Lifeline. We are a 5013c registered charity, We care, rehabilitate and re home the unwanted neglected abused Weimaraners, We take other breeds when we have room, We are based in Cental Florida but we cover many states, Back in November we rescued 5 Weimaraners from one owner all were siblings, Since the divorce of the owner and her moving away from a delapidated property The Weimaraners were left out in the yard for months on their own with a relative coming over to feed them, Baloo the daddy was in the worst condition or so we thought, Baloo had to be rushed to emergency when his ears closed up and he had swelling in his head, due to infections and untreated hematomas, Baloo is also Heart worm positve and has an enlarged heart He is still being treated, 3 of the others were fine once they were vetted and all 3 are in loving new homes, We initially took Trudy along with the others to be vetted she had a slight cough and was treated with antibiotics, The cough subsided somewhat but returned in January again she was treated, At the beginning of February Trudy developed 2 large lumps that were concerning so she went back to the vet Sugery was needed to remove them they were causing her pain the lumps were pushing through her rib cage, We waited the results and we were happy to learn they were lipomas, In March and April Trudy was hospitilized twice when she had trouble breathing the hacking cough returned and Xrays were done again she had severe congestion stronger antibiotics were given. In May she was hospitilized her breathing was labored she was wimpering lethargic vomiting and dehydrated, Trudys lungs were flushed and a culture taken, At this point most thoughts were towards cancer and we prepared for the worst, The culture came back and she is diagnosed with E,coli and MRSP Trudy is now back in ICU her medication is so strong it has to be monitored and admistered by the vet she is in isolation because of the MSRP which feeds off the e.coli, We are asking for help for Trudy her vet bills are mounting and this little girl deserves so much better, By and large Trudy is a happy girl sweet affectionate and just another one that has been failed so miserably in the past, we want to get her healthy and into a loving home its a long recovery process but she is still young enough to enjoy the years ahead. Our dedicated team and vets have worked tirelessly for this little one we will not give up on her Please consider helping Trudy on her recovery journey any amount of donation is greatly appreciated Thank you for taking the time to read Trudys campaign.
