The SHERO Initiative Program’s Walk to Eradicate Women Veteran Homelessness is an annual event to raise awareness and funds for the care, support, and reintegration of women veterans into a stable lifestyle. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for our nation’s SHEROES!
When you participate in the Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Women Veteran Homelessness awareness in your community.
The SHERO Initiative Program is committed to providing women veterans with the tools they need to succeed. In many cases, this includes finding stable housing. Help us raise awareness for and funds towards helping women veterans gain stable ground by joining us for our Walk to Eradicate Women Veteran Homelessness.

Alpha Gamma Xi Sorority, Inc is leading the charge to eradicate women veteran homelessness. By walking, fundraising, and advocating, we are providing the specialized care—from housing stability to mental health support—that our sisters were promised and have earned.
Join us for our 2026 Virtual Walk to Eradicate Women Veteran Homelessness from May 9, 2026 to May 31, 2026. Survivors, families, and supporters will unite across the globe to raise awareness for women veteran homelessness. You can walk or run any place, any time, and any day starting May 9, 2026. Together we will make these invisible SHEROES visible. Together we are stronger!
Register for the Virtual Walk to Eradicate Women Veteran Homelessness. Registration is a $35 donation. Paid registrants will receive a registration package consisting of the Official Walk T-shirt & Water bottle. Register by April 30, 2026, to receive your virtual registration package before Virtual W2EWVH Day. Those who register after April 30, 2026, will have their registration package shipped within 7-10 business days after registration.
Build Your Team and Fundraise- Register and share your fundraising page, start a Facebook Fundraiser, and challenge your friends and family to join you virtually! Your fundraising helps us provide direct assistance to survivors and their families. We also have some cool rewards based on how much you raise.
#VirtualW2EWVH2026 - Whether it’s on a home treadmill, a jog, a social-distancing stroll around the block, or you decide you want to run a 5K with some family and friends on starting May 9th, to celebrate the Walk to Eradicate Women Veteran Homelessness your way.
